We commemorated Andrew’s 13th birthday by doing a flight in the same Cessna airplane Andrew flew in this past summer. We have found a newfound respect for piloting an airplane as all three of us took a turn flying. It was a bittersweet, tough day but everything we did today was something Andrew would have wanted to do.

Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Brendan Ahern conducted a presentation on “Choices and Consequences,” an educational program on drunk, drugged, and reckless driving to Shoreham-Wading River high school students. Introduced by Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini and student Arianna McMorris, the 90-minute program’s message portrayed the importance of safe driving, good judgement, healthy decision making, and arranging alternate plans for transportation if a person feels like they are in an uncomfortable or unsafe situation.

The McMorris Family was honored to speak at this event in Andrew’s memory.

A bittersweet visit to FSANA. It was a great evening talking with flight schools across America. We were completely blown away by the beautiful presentation that honored Andrew as an AeroCamper forever and an FSANA Scholarship in his name.
