It was an honor to speak to Central Islip High School students yesterday along with Suffolk County Sheriff's Office and Sheriff Toulon about the dangers of drunk, drugged, impaired and distracted driving. We pray that our presentations and talks will prevent what happened to us from happening to anyone else.

The Andrew McMorris Foundation is thrilled to announce a record-breaking year for our scholarships, grants, and spirit awards.
In 2022, the Foundation received 85 applications and thanks to the generosity of our donors and community, awarded: 42 Scholarships to graduating high school seniors totaling over $20,225, 5 Aerocamp Grants totaling $5,000, 3 Eagle Scout Grants totaling $1,350, and 2 Spirit Awards.

The Andrew McMorris Foundation Scholarship was created to honor the memory of a very special twelve-year-old boy who was tragically killed by a drunk driver while hiking with his Boy Scout troop in the fall of 2018. Andrew McMorris Hike "Finish The Hike" Memorial Hike | September 30, 2019
On September 30, 2018, Troop 161 of Shoreham and the entire Suffolk County Council scouting family was affected by the tragic crash that took place as this group of boys and leaders were on a Sunday hike. As a result of this crash, scout Andrew McMorris passed away.
Mid Island Air Service Flight School Honors Andrew | July 2019
We’re very touched that Mid Island Air Service Flight School at MacArthur Airport in Islip honored Andrew by dedicating their flight simulator room to him. Andrew used this simulator many times last summer while he was participating in their Aerocamp and he learned so much about piloting from using it.

McMorris Family Presents Choices & Consequences at Shoreham-Wading River High School | March 2019
Suffolk County Assistant District Attorney Brendan Ahern conducted a presentation on “Choices and Consequences,” an educational program on drunk, drugged, and reckless driving to Shoreham-Wading River high school students. Introduced by Suffolk County District Attorney Timothy Sini and student Arianna McMorris, the 90-minute program’s message portrayed the importance of safe driving, good judgement, healthy decision making, and arranging alternate plans for transportation if a person feels like they are in an uncomfortable or unsafe situation.
