INTRODUCING: the 2020 Andrew McMorris Foundation Spirit Award Recipients

The Andrew McMorris Foundation would like to congratulate the recipients of the 2020 Andrew McMorris Spirit Awards.

Every year, AMF gives out Andrew McMorris Spirit Awards to deserving 8th graders at Shoreham-Wading River Middle School. The Andrew McMorris Spirit Award was created to honor SWR 8th grade students who exemplify Andrew’s spirit by helping others without the need or desire for recognition.

The qualifications for this award include:
• Someone who stands out for their good citizenship but at the same time doesn’t bring attention to themselves or their good deeds.
• Someone you can count on.
• Someone who goes out of their way to help others.
• Someone who speaks kindly to and about others, and strives to make all people feel included.
• Someone who puts others ahead of themselves and cheers on and encourages everyone.
