The Andrew McMorris Foundation Awards its 2023 Grants, Scholarships and Spirit Awards

The Andrew McMorris Foundation is thrilled again to announce another record-breaking year for our scholarships, grants, and spirit awards.

In 2023, the Foundation received over 100 applications and thanks to the generosity of our donors and community, awarded:

38 Scholarships to graduating high school seniors totaling over $20,000
4 Honorable Mentions to high school seniors
1 Eagle Scout Grant totaling $500
1 Fine Arts Award $500
2 Spirit Awards

We held our annual awards ceremony at the McMorris Lodge at Baiting Hollow Scout Camp.

John Moore Troop 161 Scout for our photos and Amanda Vega & Robert Young of Zest Gourment Catering for providing our awards luncheon and Chase Hill of North Shore Party Rentals for our tent and tables. We of course couldn’t do any of this without volunteers like Dot Young from Suffolk County Boy Scouts and Jim Grimaldi and Staff from the Baiting Hollow Scout Camp.
